Danny J. Watson

USAF (Ret) MSgt. Danny J. Watson, 56, of Hahira, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at his residence after a short illness. He was born on July 21, 1952 in Douglas, GA to the late Jack and Carolyn Watson. MSgt. Watson was retired from the United States Air Force as an ammunition specialist where he served for twenty four years. He worked for several years with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office and worked eight years at Valdosta State Prison. MSgt. Watson was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted father and granddaddy.

He is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Carey and Terry Burch of Douglas, Shannon and Rancho Moore of Warner Robins, two sons and daughters in law, Kevin and Regina Watson of Douglas, Jarrod and Brandi Watson of Valdosta, his fiancé, Janice Jones of Hahira, one brother, David Jackson Watson of Douglas, grandchildren, Buck, Coey and Scott Burch of Douglas, Jerron and Aiden Moore of Warner Robins, Brittany and Jessica Watson of Douglas, C. J., Lucas, Lori Grace and Hunter Watson of Valdosta, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 28, 2008 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Jack Seiverd officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City with full military honors. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 3338-L Country Club Road, PMB 305, Valdosta, GA 31605 or to the Beaver Dam Cemetery Fund, 504 Pauline Avenue, Ray City, GA 31645.
