Danny Chadwick

DANNY CHADWICK, 52, of Valdosta, passed away Friday, October 9, 2009, at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga, TN, from injuries he sustained while working on a billboard.

Danny was born August 1, 1957 in Valdosta, a son of the late Guy and Edna Weeks Chadwick. He graduated from Valdosta High School with the Class of 1975 and attended Engineering courses at Valdosta Technical College. Danny was employed for 18 years with the City of Valdosta as an Electrical Technician before working with the City of Covington in the same capacity. For 10 years he took time from work to care for his mother, and for the past 5 years he worked with AAA Signs as a Billboard Technician.

Danny was of the Baptist faith. He loved people and animals, especially dogs, was very talented with mechanics, and enjoyed flower gardening.

Danny is survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Herchel Blanton of Valdosta, Ann and Dr. Bill Dasher of Valdosta, Gale and Joe Eunice of Clyattville, and Sallie and David Squires of Valdosta; many nieces and nephews, whom he loved; an uncle Frank Weeks of Valdosta; and special friends, Robert and Nancy McLeod of Valdosta.

Funeral Services for Danny will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 12, 2009, in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. John Akers officiating. Interment will follow in Cat Creek Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the funeral home.
