Dannie Carrol Tinsley

Dannie Carrol Tinsley, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home on August 20, 2024. Born on July 22, 1946, in Valdosta, GA, Dannie was the beloved son of the late Bernard and Rounie Dell (Allen) Tinsley.

Dannie was a man dedicated to his family, known for his love of hunting and fishing, and his joy in hosting fish fries and cookouts for loved ones. A proud member of his hunting club and a 32nd Degree Mason, Dannie was also an avid fan of the Braves and Bulldogs. His kind heart and gentle nature meant that nobody ever had an unkind word to say about him.

Dannie is survived by his loving wife, Debi (Webb) Tinsley of Valdosta, GA; his daughter, D.D. Tinsley, and her fiancé, Jason Dyal, of Valdosta, GA; and six cherished grandchildren: Gracie, Keagan, and Dani Tinsley, along with Wayne and Malachi Dyal, and Wyatt Ponds. He is also survived by his brother, Donnie F. Tinsley of Clyattville, GA; two nephews, Brandon Tinsley and his wife Julie, and their son Shane, of Valdosta, GA, and William Bennett of Valdosta, GA; as well as a niece, April Simpson, and her husband Brian, and their children Bailey, Shelby, Tinsley, and Bear of Cartersville, GA, along with many other extended family members and friends.

Dannie was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Rounie Dell (Allen) Tinsley, a daughter, Amanda Rowe, and his brother, Kim Tinsley.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery, Naylor, GA.
