Daniel Wayne Mcmillan

Daniel Wayne McMillan, 77, of Lake Park and Leesburg, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He was born in Andalusia, AL on August 26, 1940 to the late Joseph Edward and Rose Eleanor DeLoach McMillan. He retired after 28 years from Pittsburg Paint and later from Richards Paint. He played football for the Georgia Bulldogs at the University of Georgia from 1961 – 1962 and remained an avid fan. Mr. McMillan loved golfing, RVing and camping. He enjoyed any opportunity to help others, and he loved life. He attended First Baptist Church of Lake Park.
Survivors include his wife Alice Roberts McMillan of Lake Park and Leesburg, GA; children, Teena and Gordon Foster of Jacksonville, FL, Rick and Brenda McMillan of Leesburg, GA, Lynn and Carlton Patrick, Thomas and Renee Peacock, all of Lake Park, and daughter-in-law Mary Beth Peacock, of Quitman, GA, and Trip Rachel, Holly and Mike Edmunds, all of Leesburg, GA; grandchildren, Justin and Magan Kennedy of Greensboro, GA, Jordan Roberts of Chattanooga, TN, Trent and Shelli McMillan, Wesley McMillan, all of Leesburg, GA, Stacy and Ryan Penuel, Suzanne and Billy Hunter, Lindsey and Joe Brooks, Tyler Peacock, Taylor Peacock, Ashton Peacock, Stefanie and Tommy Sutton, all of Lake Park, GA; numerous great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and James Harrington of Byron, GA. He is preceded in death by his late wife, Martha Peacock McMillan; son, George Peacock; and brother, Charles McMillan.
Services for Mr. McMillan will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Robert Dawson and Reverend Jason Spell will officiate. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 2 – 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
