Daniel Lewis Morrison

Daniel “Danny” L. Morrison, 75 of Barney, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at home. He was born to the late D.L. and Bertha Morrison on July 28, 1948. A proud Vietnam veteran, Danny was part of the Army’s 82^nd Airborne. He loved fishing and ate his first fish at just 12 months old. He was a trucker and owned Morrison Trucking for over 26 years. He worked in construction for years and did a lot of the work for the Orlando theme parks. In his spare time, Danny was a Scout leader for Troop 36 in Pine Castle, FL and loved spending time with his grandchildren who he deeply adored.

Danny is survived by his wife, Sandra Morrison of Barney, GA; son, Waylon L Morrison (Megan) of Hahira, GA; brothers, John Allen Morrison (Mollie) and Andy Morrison both of Barney, GA; sisters, Sara Standland (Sonny) of Thomasville, Ellanor Bramblett of Barney, GA; grandchildren, Elena, Mila and Walker all of Hahira, GA and many beloved extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert Troy and David Lee; brother, Angus Morrison; and sisters, Minnie Lou Murdock, Elaine Hayes and Jeannie Bennett.

Services for Mr. Morrison will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Providence Community Church. A visitation will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 from 4-6 P.M. at Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira.  Online condolences may be shared at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home.
