Dallas White Vann, 67, of Valdosta died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at her residence. Born on September 28, 1940 in Lowndes County she was the daughter of the late James and Ruby Sellars White. She was retired as a Lowndes County school bus driver. Mrs. Vann is of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin Vann of Valdosta; sons and daughters-in-law, Benjie and Patti Vann, Lee Vann, Wayne and Iris Vann all of Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Tony Hart of Valdosta; grandchildren, Sherry, Lynn, Bubba, Mark and Emma Grace Vann, Atyle Hart, Hanna and Matthew Bryant; brothers, W.J. White of Valdosta, Thomas White of Savannah, Paul White of Valdosta; sister, Mary Ellen Munk of Brooks County; numerous nieces and nephews; god daughter, Jennifer Sirmans and her two children, D.J. and Carrie. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Clara Mae Covington, Corene Terry and Ellen White.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Corbett, Dr. Henry Cannington and Mr. Tommy McNeal officiating. Burial will follow at Joe Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
