Daisy Beck Carter Copeland

Daisy Beck Carter Copeland, 92, of Lake Park, died at Heritage Healthcare at Lakehaven on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Born in Carroll County, Georgia, on October 18, 1917, she was the daughter of the late J.G. and Ollie Beck. Mrs. Copeland was a homemaker and member of Airport Church of Christ. She was known for her generosity and she loved to read and write poetry.

Survivors are a daughter and son in law, Donna Sue and David Copeland of Lake Park, three sons and daughters in law, William H. and Clara Carter, Richard D. and Jo Ann Carter, Jerry L. and Jean Carter all of Lake Park; 15 grandchildren, Barclay (Dora) Carter, Neal Carter of Lake Park, Cynthia (Barry) York of Montgomery, Alabama, Bruce Brightman of Flowery Branch, Alissa (Bobby) Boyd of Naylor, Markus (Debra) Carter of Lake Park, Carman (Brett) Roberson of Valdosta, Ken Carter, Chris (Missy) Carter, Sara (Eric) Lovell, Ben(Tammy) Carter, Shawn Copeland, Dena (James) Rosenbaum all of Lake Park, James Holtzclaw and Damon Holtzclaw of Thomasville; 11 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, Ubie Lineberger of Valdosta, Lucille and Hilton Allen of Naylor, June and Thomas Simpson of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by a her husbands, Harley Levi Carter and Cleon Copeland, a daughter, Faye Holtzclaw, a grandchild, Doug Brightman, a sister, Ethel Barker DeVane, brothers, Curtis Beck, Ivey Beck and Paul Beck.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Mr. Keith Olbricht will officiate. Mrs. Copeland will be interred at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.
