Craig Michael Rivnyak

Craig Michael Rivnyak, 44, of Valdosta, GA passed away at his residence on August 18, 2014. He was born on October 16, 1969 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late William James and Cheryl Ann Rivnyak. Mr. Rivnyak had worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation for more than a decade and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and football, and working on his Saturn. He adored his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Darren and Chemin Rivnyak of Simpsonville, SC; his sister, Keri Andersen of Smithfield, VA; five nieces and one nephew, Kayla and Ashley Rivnyak of Simpsonville, SC, Taylor and Georgia Andersen of Smithfield, VA, Kaylee and Alex Andersen of Morgantown, WV; special friend, Karen Boye of Valdosta, GA; his cats, Holly and Donkey; and many friends from West Palm Beach, FL and the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his parents, William James and Cheryl Ann Rivnyak, and his grandmother, Marion Anne Renick.

A visitation for Mr. Rivnyak will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Carson McLane Funeral Home. No formal services are planned at this time.
