Cortland Wendell Wilson

Mr. Cortland Wendell Wilson, 88, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007, at his residence, following an extended illness. Mr. Wilson was born December 5, 1918, to the late Reverend Clarence W. Wilson and Ida Evangeline Wilson in Littleton, NH. He worked with National Container/Owens-Illinois for over 30 years. He was a resident of Lake Park for over 30 years and was a member of Lake Park United Methodist Church.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise G. Wilson, who passed away November 9, 1995. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Rachael Lanier Wilson; a sister, Faith Wilson Naylor of Ontario, Canada; four daughters: Martha W. Griffin of Jacksonville, FL, Evangeline W. McCreedy (Brad) of Denver, CO, Dorothy W. Glowacki (Ed) of Orange Park, FL and Wendy W. Conrad (Tim) of Houston, TX and six grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2007, at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Mr. Wilson's memory to Hospice of South Georgia, 205 Woodrow Wilson Drive, Valdosta, Georgia.
