Corriene A. Moore

Corriene A. Moore, 85, of Valdosta died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on March 5, 1925 in Effingham, Illinois and had lived in Valdosta since 1971. Mrs. Moore owned and operated LaMor's Dress Shop for seventeen years and was a manager for Evelyn's Dress Shop. She was an avid bowler and played in many leagues and enjoyed golf. Mrs. Moore was known for her ability to grow fruit trees and loved to play with her grandchildren.

She was a wonderful mother to her daughter and son in law, Triena and Pat Rutland, her son and daughter in law, James and Shirley Moore all of Valdosta, her grandchildren, Troy (Tonia) Allen, Arabi (Richard) Hall all of Valdosta, Eric Legge, Terry Legge both of Dillard, GA. and Kristoffer Moore of Valdosta, great grandchildren, Auburn Allen, Joseph Allen, Colby Hall, Macie Hall, and Jordan Lynn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne L. Moore, her son, Joe Legge, grandson, Jeremy Moore and her mother, Evia Josephine Gharst and her father, James Ernest Gharst.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, March 20, 2010 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
