Cornelia Currie Ashley

Cornelia Currie Ashley, 85, departed this life August 6, 2016. Born in Valdosta on June 19, 1931, to Thomas Young and Elizabeth (Peachy) Ashley, Cornelia grew up in Valdosta, graduated from Valdosta State College, worked for Coca Cola in Atlanta, and Moody Air Force Base, before moving to Tampa in 1955, to work for Florida College in Temple Terrace, FL. She lived the rest of her life in Temple Terrace, retiring from AAA Auto Club South. She was a member of Temple Terrace Church of Christ. An only child, she is survived by many cousins and childhood friends, whom she held dear. A memorial service was held Saturday in Temple Terrace, and a graveside service will be conducted Monday, August 15, 1 pm, at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
