Constance "Connie" J. Hayden

September 1, 1932 — October 1, 2021

Constance J. Hayden, 89, of Valdosta, died on Friday October 1, 2021, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born in Hannibal, Missouri, on September 1, 1932, Connie was the daughter of the late Virgil P. and Inez J. Unger Caulk. She was a homemaker, a schoolteacher, and served as a past officer in the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was very active in the community finding ways to volunteer her time to those less fortunate. When not volunteering she enjoyed playing golf and bridge as well as her ladies luncheons with her friends. Connie was a faithful member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church and up until the past 4 months served as a home bound Communion Minister for the church. She had spent the past 4 months living at The Orchards in Valdosta, Georgia where she was still very active and enjoying being the loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister to her family. One of her favorite times was being able to be in her garden planting flowers and feeding the birds. It was only fitting for her journey in life to end while tending to the flower beds in front of her windows.
Preceded in death by her husbands, George David Hayden, Harold G. Kloberdanz, and a granddaughter, Morgan Hayden (Bruce & Sandy Hayden) and brother in law Norm Handlan. Connie is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Bruce and Lisa Hayden of Valdosta, Kevin P. Hayden and Michael Biedzinski of Manassas, Virginia, David V. and Cathy Hayden of Appleton, Wisconsin; daughter, Ellen Kay Kloberdanz of Newburgh, Indiana, grandsons, Patrick Hayden(Sarah) of Appleton, Wisconsin, Matt Hayden (Heather) of Boston, Massachusetts, Taylor Hayden, Curt Hayden and John Zeigler of Valdosta; great granddaughter, Cora Hayden (Patrick & Sarah) of Appleton, Wisconsin; her sisters, Judy (Gary) Peterson of Estero, Florida Sue (John) Dautenhahn of Camdenton, Missouri, and Pam Handlan of Valdosta.
