Comer Todd Hollis, 52, of Hahira, died at his home on Saturday, October 04, 2014. Born in Hahira on August 29, 1962 Todd was a graduate of Lowndes High School where he was a member of the 1980 Lowndes High School Champions Baseball Team. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1986 with a degree in Economics and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of Citizens Community Bank, he was also a member of the Hahira Lions Club, Kiwanis Club and Hahira United Methodist Church. Many fond memories were made with friends while doing controlled burning at the family farm, Lone Oak. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. Todd would literally give you the shirt off of his back.
Survivors are his daughter, Miller Starling Hollis of Valdosta; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. K. Hollis, Jr. of Hahira; a brother and sister in law, David K. III and Karrie Kirkland Hollis of Hahira; a sister and brother in law, Starling Hollis Waldron and Archie Waldron of Hahira; niece, Lily Starling Waldron of Dallas, Texas, nephew, Alexander M. Waldron of Athens, and niece, Hollis Marie Waldron of Hahira and many favorite cousins.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Reverend Bill Woodson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home on Monday evening 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
