CMSGT James Mitchell Crace, (USAF Ret.), 77, of Valdosta died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 27, 1934 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late James M. and Grace Minix Crace and had lived in Valdosta for the past forty two years. Mr. Crace was retired from the United States Air Force after twenty eight years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Jill Grove Crace of Valdosta, four daughters and three sons in law, Linda and Bill Riffle of Lenox, Deborah Crace of Moultrie, Tina and Eddie Huntley of Panama City, Fla., Stacy and Steve Nelms of Dothan, Ala., six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one brother, John Crace, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Beacher Crace and Burt Crace, three sisters, Minnie Rudy, Ann Taylor and Maude Cantrell.
