Clayton Lee (Clay) Chandler

Clayton Lee (Clay) Chandler, 49, of Hahira died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Hattisburg, Mississippi on August 29, 1966 to Carl A. and Hettie Howell Chandler. He worked at P.C. A. for twenty five years and was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. Clay was a devoted family man who loved his wife, children and extended family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Griffin Chandler; his children, Jake Chandler and Abigail Chandler both of Hahira; his parents Carl and Hettie Chandler of Grand Bay, AL; two brothers and sisters in law, Craig and Tanya Chandler of Van Cleve, MS, Eric and Susan Chandler of Grand Bay, AL; parents in law, Raymond and Syble Griffin of Hahira; sister in law and brother in law, Gwin and Clay Shaw of Lakeland; brother in law, David Griffin of Hahira; nieces and nephews, Gailey Shaw, Ellie Grace Shaw, Kyle Chandler, Lizzie Chandler, Kenny Chandler and Cait Chandler. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Colton Shaw; grandparents, Eloise Howell, Clayton Howell, Robert Chandler and Christine Chandler.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2239 Hutchinson Pond Road, Hahira, GA 31632 with the Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 6-8pm at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home, 401 S. Church St., Hahira, GA 31632. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the educational fund for his children in care of Commerical Banking Company, 110 W. Main St., Hahira, GA 31632.
