Clarence H. Holder, 86, of Lake Park died Thursday, January 3, 2013. He was born on October 12, 1926 in Jamison, Florida to the late Henry and Phronie Brown Holder. Mr. Holder was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church and had worked at the Clyattville Paper Mill retiring after forty years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita C. Holder of Lake Park, son and daughter in law, Tim and Sharon Holder of Valdosta, two daughters and sons in law, Beth and Ike Hart, Ann and Dan Todd all of Griffin, GA, stepdaughters and stepsons in law, Myrna and Rodney Turner, Sharon Davis, Edward and Linda Carter all of Lake Park, stepdaughter, Ann Shipman Zimmerman of St. Charles, MO., 13-grandchildren, 9-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Holder was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Joanne Holder, his second wife, Helen Shipman Holder, daughter in law, Susan Hall Holder, two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Henry Cannington officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home, 2215 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA 31602.
