Clara Mae Covington

CLARA MAE COVINGTON, 77, of Valdosta died Thursday, November 2, 2006 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Brooks County on April 10, 1929 to the late James C. and Ruby White and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Covington was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters and a son in law, Blanch Starling and Jr. Ray, Leona Nobles, two sons and daughters in law, Jimmy and Elaine Covington, Roy Covington and Linda C. Johnson all of Valdosta, ten grandchildren, Debbie Pringle, Tony Kussman, Randall Dawkins, Michael Covington, Donna Hubbard, Angie Mitchell, Carol Weldon, Jimmy Covington, Jr., Nikki Johnson and Cynthia Starling, numerous great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Ellen Monk of Quitman, Dallas and Frank Vann of Valdosta, three brothers and sisters in law, W. J. and Cloe White , Paul and Anna White all of Valdosta, Thomas and Stella White of Savannah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Covington, a sister, Corene Terry and a special friend, Robert Bohannon.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home with a memorial service to be held at later date.
