Clara Beatrice (Bea) Drazdowski, 91, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Presbyterian Home in Quitman after a lengthy illness. She was born in South Georgia to the late Edward Daniel Freeman & Estelle Bostick Freeman.
After growing up in South Georgia, she moved to New York City where she started her family. In 1959 she moved back to Fitzgerald and then Hahira where she single handedly raised her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Drazdowski also loved reading and shopping when the opportunity presented itself. She was Southern Baptist by faith.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Linda & Randy Smith of Valdosta, two sons and two daughters in law, Jim & Tar Drazdowski, of Valdosta, Debbie Drazdowski of Pensacola, and Joe Drazdowski of Valdosta; and another daughter and son in law, Jackie & Pete Williams of Quitman; and a sister, Frances Bradley of Wrens. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Warren, Erik Smith, Andrew (Ashley) Drazdowski, Amanda (Matt) Harrell, Alexander Drazdowski, Heather Drazdowski, Darlene Munoz, Missy Storey, and Michelle (Keith) Reynolds, and 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a son Tom Drazdowski and a granddaughter Amy Drazdowski.
A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Drazdowski at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jim Schappaugh will officiate.
