Christine Ritter

Christine Ritter, 92 of Echols County, died on Saturday, Aug 12, 2006 after a short illness. Born in Echols County to the late Jim & Gertrude Carter, she was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Ritter was a straightforward person who spoke her mind and she enjoyed life and laughter. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Pauline Corbett, of Echols Co.; two nieces, Patricia (Jim) Biles, of Atlanta and Janice Corbett of Echols Co., great nieces and nephews, Rick (Tammy) Biles of Atlanta, Laura (Chris) McGuire of Naylor, Matt Biles of Gulf Shores, AL, and Sarah Corbett of Tallahassee, FL; great great niece & nephew, Molly Biles of Atlanta, and Gavin McGuire of Naylor. She is preceded in death by her husband, “H.J.” Ritter, a sister Lillian Miller and a nephew, Larry Corbett.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ritter will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at Sardis Baptist Church. Rev. Marvin Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery.
