Christine O. Dollar

CHRISTINE O. DOLLAR, 88, of Valdosta died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. She was born on March 18, 1918 in Cairo to the late Joseph Farmer and Annie Mae Coleman Farmer and had lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Dollar was a member of the Charity Baptist Church and retired from Wendy’s in 1987. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include three daughters and sons in law, Elizabeth and Max Clower of Duluth, GA., Peggy and Lawrence Sutherland of Belton, SC., Linda and Edward Clark of Valdosta, one son and daughter in law, Ricky and Martha Dollar of Valdosta, eight grandchildren, Gene (Ella) Clower, Sherry (Tom) Garnett, Brenda (Kress) Meredith, T. J. (Stephanie) Clark, Joy Sutherland, Penny Sutherland, Wayne Clark and Wess Dollar, eight great grandchildren, Jordan, Daniel, Sarah, Aaron and Luke Meredith, Elise and Samuel Garnett and Helen Clower, one brother, Junior Farmer of Quitman. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty two years, Richard Forrester Dollar, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, October 14, 2006 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Luke and Rev. Clyde Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
