Christine Mcferrin Mcleod

Christine McLeod, 84, of Valdosta died Sunday, June 18, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on October 18, 1932 in Woodberry, Tennessee to the late Robert and Grace Harris McFerrin and had lived in Valdosta for many years. Mrs. McLeod was a member of the Dasher Church of Christ and a Department Manager with Wal-Mart. She loved playing cards with friends, crocheting, knitting, reading and traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. McLeod attended college at Florida Christian School in Tampa, Florida and was an active supporter of Georgia Christian School where she had served as President of WOFSY.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Danny and Vicki McLeod of Valdosta; her daughter and son in law, Maria and Earl Sims of Morse, LA; her five grandchildren, Madison (Devin) Corbitt, Josh McLeod, Daniel (Melissa) McKeon, Andrew (Katie) McKeon, Matthew McKeon; six great grandchildren, Emersyn Corbitt, John Wallace McKeon, Wesley McKeon, Brett McKeon, Matthew McKeon, Jr., Roman McKeon; sisters in law and brother in law, Geraldine Thompson of Orange Park, FL, M. C. and Donna McLeod; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. Wallace McLeod and her brother, Sterling McFerrin.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dasher Cemetery.
