Chong Wae (Jeanie) Wood

MRS. DENNIS (CHONG WAE "JEANIE") WOOD, 71, of Valdosta, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness.

She was born April 2, 1938 in Seoul, South Korea, a daughter of the late Sun Hong Woo and Su Kyong Mun Woo. Jeanie and her husband Dennis had lived in Sarasota, FL from 1984 until moving to Valdosta in 2009.

In addition to her husband Dennis T. Wood of Valdosta, she is survived by a sister, Tammy and husband William Warvel of Naples, FL; two brother-in-laws, Terry and wife Carol Wood of Valdosta, and Michael D. and wife Joann Wood of Pace, FL; three nieces, Michelle Warvel of Tampa, FL, Mary Janna and husband Mark Thrift of Valdosta, and Christina Wood of Pace, FL; one nephew, George C. and wife Bonnie Wood of Albany; two great-nieces, Amy Espinosa of Valdosta, and Madelyn McGurk of Pace, FL; one great-nephew, Declan McGurk of Pace, FL; and numerous cousins.
