Chester Gladys

Chester Gladys, born August 8, 1920 suffered a fatal heart attack on March 21, 2005. He came to Lake Park 19 years ago. His friendliness and good humor was extended to all who met him in Lake Park and Valdosta. He was so loved by his family and his many friends in Georgia and Michigan.

He is survived by his wife; 3 daughters and their husbands; 6 grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law.

A funeral mass will be held at 12:10 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2005 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Father John O’Brien will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta with visitation continuing until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Chester Gladys’ name to the American Heart Association.
