Chester Lawaine Corbett

Lake Park, GA

Chester Lawaine Corbett, 86, of Lake Park, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at his home. Born on January 14, 1939 in Statenville, GA, to the late Jesse Lee (Tince) Corbett and Flora Carter Corbett, he had worked for and retired from PCA as a winch truck driver and service crew. He was a member of Statenville Church of Christ.

Mr. Corbett is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer and Jon Garrett, of Valdosta, and Janie Corbett of Lake Park; his grandchildren Haley Elliott (Jake), Grant Garrett (Kenzie), of Valdosta, and Nicolas Fierro, of Lake Park; his sister Gayle Adams of Douglas, GA; and fur baby Lulu; and numerous nieces and nephews; a special thank you to his caregivers Maya Hodges and Ruby James. He was preceded in death by his wives, Hazel Jones Corbett, Hannalore "Hanna" Bennett Corbett, son Jeff Corbett, and siblings Jessie Corbett Jr., Louis Corbett, James Corbett, Lawanna Futch, and Charles Corbett.

A funeral service for Mr. Corbett will be held at 11am on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Sardis Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11am. Online condolences may be shared at www.mclanecares.com.
