Charlotte Ann Dousharm, 70, of Valdosta died on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born on September 14, 1943 in Ocala, Florida to the late Robert and Betsy Hastings Lust and has been a resident of the Valdosta area for the last 10 years. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She faithfully and lovingly raised her family and was a devoted Army wife to her husband. Ms. Charlotte was involved with all her children's school activities and was the ideal sports mom taking them to and from whatever event was being played. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed greatly by her family.
Survivors include five children and their spouses, Sherri and Joseph Meadows of Valdosta, Deborah and Kenneth Staton of Dalton, Georgia, Michelle and Sean Moore of Valdosta, Thomas, Jr. and Nancy Dousharm of Valdosta, and Terri Dousharm and James Hood of Tallahassee, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert and Bobbie Lust of Calahan, Florida, and Raymond Walden of Jacksonville, Florida; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Thomas Joseph Dousharm, Sr., and a brother, Michael Lust of Maryland.
A family memorial service will be held at the family residence on Friday from 12 – 3 p.m. Mrs. Dousharm will be cremated according to her wishes. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the Dousharm family.
