Charlie "Charles" H. Mock. Jr., 75 of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at South Georgia Medical Center following a short illness. Born in Valdosta, Georgia on November 3, 1940, to the late Charlie Houston Mock Sr., and Virginia Mashburn Mock. He was a member of Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran. Later in life he served as a bus monitor for the Lowndes County Board of Education, where he rejoiced in his association with special need students.
Survived by, wife of 47 years, Linda Mock, Valdosta: daughter and son-in-law Delaney Hendley (Jimmy) of Chelsea, AL; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Mock (Jennifer) of Statenville; nine Grandchildren, and four Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a son, Charles H. Mock III.
Funeral services for Mr. Mock will be Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.at the Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church in Echols county, with Elder Dwight Marshall officiating, interment will follow in Wayfare Cemetery.
