Charles Richard Priest

August 16, 1930 — May 23, 2008

Charles Richard Priest, 77, of Valdosta, GA, passed
away on May 23, 2008 near Gatlinburg, TN while
traveling with his wife. He was born on August 16,
1930 in Jacksonville Florida. As a member of the 101st
Airborne, he served his country in the Korean War. He
also served the Valdosta business and education
community for 31 years as the owner of Allied
Duplicating Products. He was a member of the 1st
Baptist Church of Valdosta, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie of Valdosta, one
daughter, Cindy Martin and her husband Keith Martin
and their two daughters Karlie and Kaycee of Valdosta,
a son, Jack Priest and his wife Lynn of Ringgold Ga.
He has a sister, Jan Donaldson of Jacksonville Fl and
two brothers Wayne Priest and Ken Priest both of
Jacksonville, Fl.

Charlie, as his friends know him, loved his family and
enjoyed traveling. The last several years, he and
Marjorie have spent much of their time traveling all
across the country never letting anything get in their
way. He shared his happiness and good fortune with
everyone whom he came in contact. He never met a
stranger and will be missed by all who knew him.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10 am, Friday, May
30, 2008 at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family
will receive friends from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Thursday
at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Mr.
Priest name to the 1st Baptist Church of Valdosta
