Charles "Pops" Crosby

Charles "Pops" Crosby, 64, of Valdosta, died at home on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Born on August 13, 1943 in Tampa, FL, he was the son of the late John and Matilda Corbin Crosby. He was a retired meat cutter for Blanton's Meats and Kountry Meats Outlet. He was baptized at the Lake Park Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Nobles Crosby of Valdosta; children and their spouses, Michael and Ginger Crosby of Valdosta, James Edward and Brenda Crosby of Nashville, John and Dana Crosby of Valdosta, Tuwana Jewell Crosby of Sylvester, Charlene and Felix Garcia of Las Vegas, NV. Mr. Crosby is also survived by seven grandchildren and a sister, Lilly Hart of Live Oak, FL.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Lake Park Cemetery with Dr. Keith Sandlin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
