Charles Price, 62, of Valdosta died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born on June 30, 1948 in Jesup, GA to the late G. A. and Nellie Mae Jackson Price. Mr. Price was a supervisor at the Valdosta State University bookstore and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Quitman.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn White Price of Valdosta, two sons, Randy Price and wife Brenda and Tommy Price and wife Laura of Atlanta, one daughter, Sharon Price of Kansas, four grandchildren, David Price, Sarah Rudd, Aimee Price and Skyler Price, two great granddaughters, Jamison Rudd and Emileigh Price, one brother, Alvin Price of Savannah, one sister, Ann Highsmith of Quitman, several nieces, nephews and special friends, Karen Mansukhani, Margaret Griffin, Ken Rainey, Judy Parker, Emory and Deborah Jenrette. Mr. Price is preceded in death by his parents, G. A. and Nellie Price, one brother, Bobby Price, one brother in law, Remer Highsmith, one nephew, Dion Price, his father in law and mother in law, C. C. and Emily White.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2010 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Don E. Jenrette and Mrs. Karen Mansukhani officiating. Burial will follow at Pauline Baptist Church Cemetery in Brooks County. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Thursday at the funeral home.
