Charles Jack Moon

Charles Jack Moon, 87, of Valdosta died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on May 17, 1926 in Cordele, GA to the late Royce Duran Moon and Ava Bowen Moon. Mr. Moon had been a lifelong resident of this area. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Moon worked as an electrician first at the Owens-Illinois Paper Mill in Clyattville and later for several years at Bayliner Corporation. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Jeanette Moon of Valdosta, two daughters and sons in law, Sandra and Thomas Bellflower of Valdosta and Wanda and Gary Miller of Rock Hill, SC, seven grandchildren, Melissa Lewis of Clovis, NM, Charles H. Moon (Tricia) of Valdosta, Kimberly Moon of TN, Charles Thomas Bellflower (Michelle) of Valdosta, Lisa Jordan (Shane) of Hahira, Debi Rice (Stephen) of Ray City, Anthony Miller (Ashley) of Hickory Grove, SC, one daughter in law, Geraldine Moon of Lake Park, fourteen great grandchildren including Chandler Moon, numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Charles R. Moon and his sister and brother in law, Inez and Fred Pendleton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at eleven a. m. at the graveside at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Bob Willis and Reverend Douglas Reddick. Burial will follow.
