Charles H. Stuart, Jr., 75, of Lake Park, died Friday, May 5, 2006 at his home. He was born on October 24, 1930 in Early County, GA to the late Charles Henry Stuart, Sr. and Nora Lucile Phillips Stuart. Mr. Stuart was retired from the United States Air Force and was a member of Hahira First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Stuart of Lake Park, three sons and daughters in law, Jim and Becky Stuart of Gainesville, GA, Bill and Lana Stuart of Albany, GA, John and Holly Stuart of Macon, GA, two daughters and one son in law, Patty Stuart of Lake Park, Kathy and Rodney Gordon of Valdosta, nine grandchildren, Tiffany Stuart, Laura Haire, Riley Stuart, Adia Stuart, Simone Stuart, Rodney Gordon, Jr. and his wife, Crystal, Chad Gordon, Caysee Dyess and Haylee Gordon, one great grandson, Aidan Haire, four sisters, Marie Tabb of Colquitt, GA, Hazel Tipton of Reynoldsville, GA, Helen Askew of Colquitt, GA, Betty Marder of Bainbridge, GA, one brother, Phillip Stuart of Waller, TX, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Stuart was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Taylor Alaine Gordon, one brother, Larry Stuart and one sister, Judy Adams.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at eleven a. m. at the Hahira First Baptist Church with Reverend David Gordon officiating. He will lie in state for one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Tuesday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at mclanefuneralservices.com.
