Charles E. Millhorn

Charles E. “Skelly” Millhorn, 73, of Valdosta, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on May 16, 1934 in Bristol, VA to the late Marshall and Eula Dixon Millhorn. Mr. Millhorn was retired after over thirty years of service from Langdale Industries from the security and courier service. He was a United States Army veteran, a member of the Dasher Church of Christ and was affiliated with the Boy’s Club in Bristol, VA transferring to the Valdosta Boy’s Club in 1962 and active for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Sybil Copeland Millhorn of Valdosta, one son and daughter in law, Johnnie and Patricia Brown, Jr. of Valdosta, two daughters and sons in law, Vicki and Casey Crews of Jasper, FL and Dee and Mickey King of Jennings, FL, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers and sisters in law, Sam and Betty Millhorn of Loris, SC and Curtis and Anne Millhorn of Fayetteville, GA, several nieces and nephews and special pets “The Cats”. Mr. Millhorn is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Millhorn and Benny Millhorn and one sister, Gaye Millhorn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007 at two p. m. at the Dasher Church of Christ with Mr. David Nelson and Mr. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Copeland Cemetery. He will lie in state in the church for one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends Friday, November 30, 2007 from six until eight p. m.
