Charles David Sayers

December 24, 1953 — August 22, 2005

Charles David Sayers, Sr., 51, lifetime resident of Valdosta, died at Archbold Medical Center on Monday, August 22, 2005 from injuries received in an accident. Born in Athens, Ohio on December 24, 1953, he was the son of Byron David and Jean Jordan Sayers. Mr. Sayers was a painter, employed with Jabon and Stone Inc. of Valdosta.

Survivors are two sons and a daughter in law, Charles David Jr., and Kellie Sayers of Valdosta, Byron David Sayers of Valdosta; his mother, Jean Sayers of Valdosta; grandmother, Claire Sayers of Athens, Ohio; brothers and sisters in law, Jimmy and Tina Sayers of Vinton, Louisiana, Greg and Mary Sayers of Valdosta; nieces and nephews, Gretchen Sayers of New York, New York, Brittany Sayers of Vinton, Louisiana, Scott Sayers of Quitman and Dylan Sayers of Vinton, Louisiana.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Pastor Keith Allsbrook will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to an educational fund for Byron David Sayres, youngest son of Mr.Sayers, c/o First State Bank 3650 Inner Perimeter Road Valdosta GA 31602.
