Charles Allen Schultz

April 15, 1949 — June 21, 2015

Charles Allen Schultz, 66, of Lake Park passed away June 21, 2015 at his residence. He was born April 15, 1949 in Knoxville, TN to the late Charles Wilbur and Betty June Robinson Schultz. After serving in the United States Army he embarked on a 38 year career as a truck driver with Roadway and upon retirement he went back to school to become a marine mechanic, graduating first in his class. Mr. Schultz stayed active in hunting and competitive shooting, he also ran 5k races. It was his love for water that allowed him to enjoy sailing and scuba diving. He was involved with the Valdosta Yacht Club and served as their Vice-Commodore.

Charles Allen Schultz is survived by his wife of almost eleven years, Tommie Jean "TJ" Schultz of Lake Park; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rusty and Kim Schultz of Mayo, FL, Nick and Serina Taylor of Hahira, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Bob Matheson of Griffin, GA, Stacey and Grant Bennett of Blackshear, GA; seven grandchildren, Tristen Deas, Tripp Schultz, Gauge Schultz all of Mayo, FL, Andrew Schultz of Murphy, NC, Thomas and Erin Taylor of Hahira, GA, Mason Bennett of Blackshear, GA; Brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Gay Schultz of New Braunfels, TX; two sisters, Lou Anne Robinson of Oak Ridge, TN, Joyce Schultz of Huntsville, AL; three beloved pets Sadie, Evey, and Petey; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Schultz and a sister, Carol Stamey.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 24, 2015 at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until service time.
