Celita "Pat" Nichols

Celita “Pat” Nichols, 68, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Sarasota, FL on May 22, 1939 to the late Jessie Lewis and Ruby Lee Page. Mrs. Nichols was a homemaker and attended Greenwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Irie “Nick” Nichols of Valdosta, four daughters, Debbie Messimore of Valdosta, Patty Page (Richard) of Jasper, IN, Lee Moon (David) of Naylor, Marie Dozier (Larry) of Valdosta, three sons, Nelson H. Messimore III, Johnny Messimore (Anita Sullivan) and Charles Messimore (Misty Keen), all of Valdosta, eleven grandchildren, Mary Lyǐan Page, Derek Messimore, Richard Page, Jr., Angie Page, Sarah Page, Heath Moon, Caleb Moon, Marāeyah Nichols, Autumn Dozier, Haley Messimore and Cody Dozier, eight great grandchildren, one sister, Mickey Booth of Leesburg, FL and one brother, Ralph McKibbon of Homosassa Springs, FL.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2008 at two p. m. at Greenwood Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Bass officiating. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery in Echols County. Mrs. Nichols will be placed in the church at one p. m.
