Catherine Rebecca Kinsey Prine

Catherine Rebecca Kinsey Prine, 92, of Valdosta went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Langdale Hospice House. She was born in Statenville on April 11, 1919 to the late Willard S. and Effie Corbett Kinsey. Mrs. Prine was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday School Class and will always be remembered for her sweet spirit. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at South Georgia Medical Center for several years.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Catherine Lougene and Jerry Spray of Daphne, Ala., her son and daughter in law, Lavon and Betty Prine of Lake Park, her grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Meredith Spray of Richmond, VA., Cody Spray of Birmingham, Ala., Shannon and John Harrison of Douglas, Shane and Tami Prine of St. George, Utah., two great grandchildren, Katherine (Kate) Rebecca Merritt and Colton Merritt both of Douglas and a wide extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Rudolph (J.R.) Prine, her parents, Willard S. and Effie Corbett Kinsey and a brother, B. W. Kinsey.

Funeral services will be held at 10am, Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Garvey Nichols and Rev. Milton Sellars officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6pm at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
