Catherine L. Towery

Catherine L. Towery, 96, of Lake Park died on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was born on December 19, 1919 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Luther Bunyan and Jessie Naomi Farmer Evans. She was a retired retail associate with Lane Bryant and was a member of the Lake Park United Methodist Church. She was a self-taught pianist and loved the beauty of flowers. She loved her children and her grandchildren very much and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra Conyer of Lake Park and Patricia and Thomas Webb of Atlanta; five grandchildren and their spouses, Mary Catherine and Jamie Bartlett of Atlanta, Melissa Webb also of Atlanta, Angie and Charles Smith of LaGrange, Keith and Elsie Thompson of Tifton and Kevin Thompson of Lake Park; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Abraham Towery.

A graveside service for Catherine L. Towery will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016 at the McLane Riverview Memoria Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Monday from 1:30 p.m. until service time.
