Catherine Ganas Yale

CATHERINE GANAS YALE, 73, of Valdosta died Monday, May 29, 2006 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 12, 1932 in Valdosta to the late Pete G. and Julia Odum Ganas and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mrs. Yale was retired from Valdosta High School as the registrar and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Yale of Valdosta, four children and their spouses, Donald, Jr. and Stacy Yale of Washington Township, OH., Jeff and Maidie Yale of Mansfield, TX., Chris and Debbie Yale of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. and Cathy and Todd Sigman of Alpharetta, 11-grandchildren, Emma Yale, Pierson Yale, Logan Yale, Katie Yale, Preston Yale, Spencer Yale, Lawson Yale, Ross Yale, Jake Yale, Catherine Grace Sigman and Aubrey Sigman, two brothers and sisters in law, Chris and Zina Ganas of Savannah and Thomas L. and Jean Ganas of Hahira. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Pete Ganas and Johnnie Ganas and a sister, Mary Howard.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, May 31, 2006 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. John Chick officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
