Catherine Elizabeth Plumly

Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Plumly passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
She was born in Ohio on June 5, 1920, to the late Edward M. and Marie E. Lynch Kemper. On September 27, 1952 she married Lester Wayne Plumly. Mrs. Plumly was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Some of her favorite things were playing cards, growing roses and telling it how it is. She created a loving and supportive family who always sticks together. She never failed to make everyone laugh and truly cared for all those around her. She lived an amazing life and impacted the lives of many.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lester Wayne Plumly, Jr. and Cindy Kay Plumly of Valdosta, GA, and Lawrence Dean Plumly and Scherry Lynn Plumly of Parkersburg, WV; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Plumly Ianni and Daniel Joseph Ianni of Burke, VA; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, John (Jek) Kemper; and two sisters, Lillian Thrush and Dorothy Kemper.
The Funeral Mass for Mrs. Plumly will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Valdosta, with Rev. Paul Ladda officiating. The family will receive friends following the Mass at the church. Interment will take place Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo, FL.
