Carrie Trammell Butenschon

February 26, 1914 — October 1, 2004

CARRIE GRACE TRAMMELL BUTENSCHON, 90, of Lake Park, Georgia and formerly of Oxford, Alabama departed this life on October 1, 2004 to join her husband, Frank Butenschon, Jr., her parents, Rosa Belle and Herman Trammell and her in laws Ruth and Frank Butenschon, Sr. in their heavenly home with our Lord Jesus Christ. Mrs. Butenschon was the epitome of the true Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother during her 90 years on this earth. She was born in Lee County, Alabama on February 26, 1914 and lived most of her adult life in Oxford, Alabama where she was employed by various Doctors offices and the Calhoun County Health Department in Anniston, Ala. She was Worthy Matron of the Oxford Eastern Star and was a former Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church in Oxford. Mrs. Butenschon was the constant companion and wife to Frank Butenschon, Jr. for fifty six years prior to his death in 1993. Her legacy to this world was that she was a true Christian who loved the Lord, loved everyone she came in contact with, was never too busy to care and was the genuine Southern Lady in every sense of the word. She now resides with her husband and family in a beautiful mansion in God’s Kingdom.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Frank III and Susan Butenschon of Lake Park, GA., three grandchildren, Kevin T. Butenschon and his wife, Kendra and their children, Taylor Brooke, Tiffany and Tod all of Hahira, Chris D. Butenschon and wife Sheree and their children, Kari and Hannah all of Leesburg, Ga., Frank Butenschon, IV and his daughter, Nakescha.
