Carolyn Weldon Taylor

Carolyn Weldon Taylor, 70, of Hahira died Monday, September 19, 2011 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Hahira on December 25, 1940 to the late Grover C. and Katherine Landers Weldon and was a lifelong resident of Hahira. Mrs. Taylor was a Baptist.

Survivors include her sister and brother in law, Ann and Gary Graves of Leesburg, five brothers and three sisters in law, George Harold and Judy Weldon of Gay, GA., Calvin Weldon, Tommy and Maureen Weldon all of Hahira, Allen Weldon and Brenda Folsom of Adel, Doug Weldon of Lake Park, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Scottie Weldon, husband, Jerry Taylor and a brother, Jerome L. (Sonny) Weldon.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Friday, September 23, 2011 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Ann Smith, Associate Pastor of Calvary Temple officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
