Carolyn Lucille Parr

Mrs. Carolyn Lucille Parr, 87, lifelong resident of Valdosta, passed from this life at South Georgia Medical Center on March 12, 2024.  Born on April 14, 1936, Carolyn was born in Valdosta, a daughter of the late William Felton and Lillie Mae McCranie Meadows. A homemaker, she was the widow of the late Orville H. Parr. Carolyn loved to travel, enjoyed dancing and dining out.

Survivors are her daughters, Karen and Steve Ellis, Sharon and D.C. Watkins, III all of Valdosta, Kim and Lee Bennett of Lake Park; grandchildren, Clay and Nicole Parrish, Bryson Bennett, Bryan Bennett of Valdosta, Brandi and Gabe Sirmans of Hahira, Clyde Parrish, Donovan Parrish of Valdosta, Mason Sirmans, Carlee Sirmans of Hahira, brother, William E. and Betty Meadows of Valdosta, sister, Betty Sewell of Winter Garden, Florida.  In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tommy Sewell.

A private graveside service for Mrs. Parr was held on March 15, 2024, at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family has asked that donations be made to the Kidney and Heart Foundations in memory of Mrs. Parr. Carson McLane Funeral Home has been entrusted to care for the Parr family.
