Carolyn McCall Martin, 87, of Valdosta died on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born on April 24, 1927 in Tifton to the late Stirling and Mary Will Spooner McCall. Mrs. Martin worked for 19 years with the Valdosta City School System as a kindergarten teacher for S L Mason. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Dr. Robert Martin of Valdosta, Dr. Richard Martin of Birmingham, Alabama, David Martin of Savannah, Georgia, and Charles Martin of Valdosta.
A memorial service for Carolyn McCall Martin will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to VSU Foundation, James E. Martin Scholarship 1500 N. Patterson Street Valdosta, Georgia 31698.
