Carolyn Johnson

Carolyn Johnson, beloved daughter of the late H.C. and Marie Stanfield Davis, peacefully passed away at Langdale Hospice House, Valdosta, GA, on April 18, 2024. Born June 4, 1939, Carolyn’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, which she joyfully shared with others. Her caring heart was evident in her medical career as a registered nurse and the love and support she gave to all of her family and those under her professional care through the years. Known for her southern cooking, sense of humor, hospitality and wonderful spirit, Carolyn brought warmth and joy to those around her. Her sweet memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Johnson, and his wife Diane of Lake City, FL, as well as two daughters-in-law, Melinda Johnson and Lee Johnson of Lake City, FL. Carolyn leaves behind cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister Audrey Starr of Valdosta, GA; a sister-in-law, Cammy Davis of Highland, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her loving husband, Grady Johnson, two sons, William and Troy Johnson, and two siblings, Calvin Davis and Annette Brooks.

Services to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held graveside at 11 A.M. on April 23, 2024 at Falling Creek Church Cemetery, Lake City, FL. Online condolences may be conveyed at www.mclanecares.com.
