Carolyn H. Brinson

Carolyn H. Brinson, 74, of Valdosta, died on Friday, March 06, 2009 at the Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was born in Adel, Georgia on April 3, 1934 to the late Charlie and Myrtice Flowers Howell. She worked with the Cadillac/Pontiac dealership here in Valdosta for 27 years as office manager and recently retired from the Southeastern Federal Credit Union. She was a member of Central Church of Christ for 43 years. She made five mission trips to Jamaica and one to the Ukraine and had taught Sunday School for 25 years.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Carl S. Brinson, Jr. of Valdosta; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Byron Brown of Valdosta and Anita and Rex Lilly of Blairsville, Georgia; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kimberly and Ashley Forthe of Cumming, Georgia, Brandon and Sara Lilly of Valdosta, Laura and Scott Keiser of New Orleans, Louisiana, Alison and Scott Colvin of Huntsville, Alabama, and Scott Brown of Valdosta; great-grandchildren, Hannah Forthe and Austin Forthe both of Cumming, Georgia, Rhett Lilly of Valdosta, and Abigail Keiser of New Orleans Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Irma Lee Howell of Adel, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Carolyn H. Brinson will be held and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. John Klimko, Mr. Bryan Jarvis and Mr. G.R. Holton officiating. The burial will follow in the Dasher Cemetery.
