Carolyn Elizabeth Moore

Carolyn E. Moore, 70, of Valdosta died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Athens, Ga on June 30, 1941 to the late Demorest and Annie Pearl Schlock Wood. Mrs. Moore was retired from the Valdosta State University bookstore and was a member of the Winterville, GA United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy A. Moore of Valdosta, two daughters and one son in law, Linda and Wilbur Barker of Lake City, FL and Judy Gatts of Valdosta, three grandchildren, Russell Barker of Lake City, FL, Trish Goldstein and her husband Mike of Jacksonville, FL and Cody Gatts of Valdosta, three great grandchildren, Scott Kennedy, Christopher Goldstein and Michael Goldstein, two sisters, Irene Meeler of Winterville, GA and Mary Ann Wheeler of Lexington, GA, one brother, Robert Smith of Athens, GA. Mrs. Moore is predeceased by her parents and one brother, Neil Wood.

Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, September 25, 2011 at three p. m. at Cat Creek Cemetery with Reverend Roger Mays officiating. Burial will follow.
