Carole Virginia Kellerman, 69, of Valdosta died Friday, April 28, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on January 15, 1948 in New York, New York to the late Abraham and Virginia Lane Kellerman and had lived in Valdosta most of her life. Ms. Kellerman attended Crosspointe Church and served for eight years in the United States Army. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier and was a member of the DAV. Ms. Kellerman wrote songs, played instruments and loved to read.
Survivors include three sisters and two brothers in law, Annette and David Fender of Hahira, Sheila and James Mullis of Roanoke, VA, Cheryl Wheeler of Valdosta; one brother and sister in law, Lonnie and Dede Kellerman of St. Augustine, FL; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Kellerman, sister and brother in law, Sandra and Jim Miller and a brother in law, Jim Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, April 30, 2017 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Gabe Bailie officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
