CAROLE RICE PINSON, 65, of Valdosta died Friday, August 4, 2006 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 4, 1940 in Valdosta at Little Griffin Hospital to the late Goss and Ruby Futch Rice. Mrs. Pinson was a graduate of Valdosta High School and a realtor for the past twenty six years. She was employed by ERA Joyner Realty, a member of the Valdosta Board of Realtors, a member of the National Realtors Association and the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Pinson was a fabulous wife, mother and grandmother. She loved jokes, cooking, gardening and people.

Survivors include her husband and soul mate of 47 years, Jim Pinson of Valdosta, one daughter and son in law, Cathy and Rick Cheeseman of Eden Prairie, MN., four grandchildren, Ethan Cheeseman, Kyle Cheeseman, Denise Cheeseman and Katie Carole Cheeseman all of Eden Prairie, MN., two sisters and a brother in law, Barbara and Joe Cooper, Pam Tronco all of Columbia, SC., her mother in law, Gin Pinson of Valdosta and two special friends, Peanut and Shadow.

Memorial services will be held at 11am, Monday, August 7, 2006 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Ray Joyner officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, South Atlantic Division, P. O.
