Carol Jacobs

Carol Lyons Jacobs, 75, of Hahira passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. She was born on March 8, 1942 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Amos Edgar and Eloise Callahan Lyons and had lived in Hahira for the past thirty six years. Mrs. Jacobs worked with Dadant and Sons Beekeepers for ten years and was a member of the Hahira Honey Bee Festival Committee for the past twenty nine years and had served as chairman from 2007 until her passing. She loved reading, working in her flower gardens and sharing her flowers with her neighbors.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Jacobs of Hahira; two daughters and a son in law, Keri Hales of Punxsutwaney, PA, Diana and Jon Johnson of Palmrya, PA; five grandchildren, Jessica Johnson, Aren Johnson, Ryne Johnson, Laia Hales, Liam Hales; her siblings and their spouses, Steve and Sue Lyons of Grayson, KY, Marilyn and Ron King, Ray and Susan Lyons all of Ashland, KY; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by siblings, John Lyons, George Lyons, Buddy Lyons, Mary Lyons Munze.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Davis officiating.
