CARMIE LEE ALLIGOOD BECTON COLLEY, 80, of Lake Park and formerly of Valdosta, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 5, 2008 at her home. She was born in Jackson, KY on March 9, 1928, a daughter of the late Willard Roark and Alvida Roark Coody and Lonnie Coody. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing and camping, and most of all she loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-laws, Connie and Lee Carpenter of Gainesville, and Claudia and Ronnie Lieupo of Homerville, three sons and daughter-in-laws, Ronnie and Janet Alligood of Adel, Roger and Teresa Becton of Valdosta, and Randy and Gina Becton of Quitman, ten grandchildren, Ron and Sean Alligood, Dee Carpenter, Lesley Wiley, Jonathan Lieupo, Jacque Tompkins, Kristin and Glenn Becton, Amanda Martin and Randi Hardigree, seven great-grandchildren, Heather Lardie, Taylor Alligood, Dalton Wiley, Ean Tompkins, Cecily Lieupo, Dylan and Tyler York, one great-great-granddaughter, Sophia Lardie, three brothers and sister-in-laws, Claude and Barbara Roark of Valdosta, Gene and Estelle Roark of Albany, and Clyde and Doris Roark of Valdosta, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Colley, great-granddaughter, Millie Lieupo, two brothers, Arthur and Everett Roark, and a sister, Blanche Smith.
Services will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, June 8, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Lewis and Rev. Jeff Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
